Seat Height Adjustment

Seat height should be set at a height that allows the knees to be level or lower than the user’s hips while seated.

To adjust the seat height, move the lever on the right side of chair labeled "Up/Down".

Seat Slide Adjustment

The Seat Slider is a mechanism that allows you to choose the distance between the seat and the back of your chair. When adjusting your seat, you can either stand next to the chair or maneuver the seat while sitting.

To adjust your Seat Slider:

  • Go to the left side of the chair and grab the paddle that says "slide".
  • Lifting this paddle will allow you to adjust your seat forward or backward.
  • For optimal comfort, you want a distance of 2 to 3 fingers placed from the back of your calf to the seat.

Backrest Height Adjustment

Proper back support is crucial to healthy sitting. Positioning the Lumbar, the lifted area on the lower end of the backrest, is easily done from a seated position.

To adjust the height of your backrest:

  • Lift the entire backrest to the highest point which will allow the backrest to return to its lowest beginning position.
  • Slowly lift the backrest and you will hear separate clicks from inside the backrest. Each "click" is a ½ inch increment, with the total allowance being 4 inches.
  • For optimal comfort, you want the Lumbar to be placed against the small of your back.
Backrest Angle Adjustment
The backrest adjusts in a 15° range angle from upright to more reclined. The back angle adjustment functions independently but in combination with the seat tilt adjustment to provide support for Open Posture and the benefits associated with it.

Adjustment is made with the lever on the right side of chair labeled "Back".

Seat Tilt Adjustment

Seat Tilt can be adjusted in a forward tilt or rearward tilt, and works independently of, and in combination with, the backrest angle adjustment. In forward tilt, the back angle can be opened to allow for a more open trunk / thigh angle for the benefits of Open Posture.

Adjustment is made with the lever on the right side of chair labeled "Tilt". Seat tilt tension resistance is also adjustable.

Seat Tilt Tension Adjustment

To adjust the weight resistance you feel in the free-float, rocking position, get out of the chair and lock it into its most forward position. Next, tighten the tension knob for more resistance, or loosen the knob for less resistance. Adjust the tilt tension to fit your body weight.

Armrest Angle Adjustment

The armrest on your ergonomic chair is designed to rotate 360 degrees.

To articulate your armrest:

  • Put one hand on the front end of the armrest and the other hand on the back end.
  • Lift the armrest and you will be able to rotate it in a 360 degree turn to the right or left.
  • In addition, to adjust the angle of your armrest, grab the armrest like before and rock the armrest forward or backward along the inner track.

Armrest Articulation Adjustment

The new, BodyBilt 4-Arm adjusts 4-ways (height, width, angle and articulation).

Articulation is adjustable 7° forward or 7° rearward rotation. The arm pads features both a "short" and a "long" end. Rotate to position the end that best suits your needs, and change angle to accommodate the angle of your forearm in keyboard tasks.

To adjust, slide the pad fore or aft to your desired position.

Armrest Height Adjustment

To adjust the height of your armrest:

  • Lift on the oval trigger (located just under the arm pad) with finger or thumb.
  • Once desired height is found release the trigger.
  • To find the optimal placement for your armrest:

Take in a deep breathe and release to completely relax your body. Place your arms to where they feel the most comfortable. Then reach over to one arm at a time lifting the armrest to sit under your forearm.

  • Be careful to set the arm height so your elbow is supported but shoulders are not pushed up.
Armrest Width Adjustment

The width between your armrests can stretch a total of 3" (1.5" / side) and can accommodate the need for wider arm separation.

To adjust the width of your armrest:

  • Loosen the star knob under the seat where the arm attaches and / or detaches
  • Once loose, slide the arm support inward or out and away from the seat to desired position then retighten the star knob.
Swivel Adjustment
The seat swivel function allows a 360° range free-rotation of the entire chair.

This motion is almost effortless.
