BUSINESS PRACTICES/OPERATIONS/MANUFACTURING
ErgoGenesis engages in the following practices to reduce or minimize an impact to the environment, including, but not necessarily limited to the following items:
- Recycles materials in the warehouse and in office operations, to include: boxes, paper, toner cartridges, steel, leather, plastic
- Use of EnergyStar rated computers, printers and copiers.
- Incorporate the following green building design elements at our manufacturing facility and corporate headquarters location: use of natural light in offices and warehouse; since our facility is located in South Texas there is no heating system in the building, which allows for conservation of energy used throughout the winter months; use of an ammonia cooling system, vs. the freon system to cut down on pollutants and conserve energy.
- Use of recycled paper; reduce paper use by storing most files electronically.
- There is no hazardous waste generation at our manufacturing facility.
